In addition to the romantic and relaxing walks that can be taken starting from the house along the road that descends the hill, or climbing up to the heart of the village of San Gennaro with its church and panoramic view, those who love cycling or trekking will find many paths to take to discover the beautiful surroundings rich in olive groves, parish churches, castles and farms.
In addition, guests can quickly reach the Montecarlo wine road (10 km), the Pinocchio Park in Collodi (approx. 3 km), which is certainly great fun for young and old, and the beautiful Villa Garzoni with its Butterfly House (3 km).


Descending the hill, you can reach the historic villas and villages of Segromigno, Matraia, and Valgiano in a few minutes, stopping to admire the splendid view and taste the local specialities in one of the restaurants and trattorias along the way.
Starting from Marlia, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the Pizzorne plateau, an enchanting place with meadows and woods, perfect for cooling off with the children on hot summer days.

The most important art cities of Tuscany such as Florence, Siena and Pisa can also be reached in a short time. The city of Lucca is only 16 km away.
